ALERT® Course
The ALERT® course incorporates interactive seminars, practical demonstrations and role–play clinical scenarios during which the candidates are encouraged to reflect on their actions and to consider “What would I do next?” An ALERT® course manual, for pre–course reading, is provided to all attendees.

The ALERT® ‘Train the Trainers’ Course
Teams from centres wishing to run the ALERT® course are required to attend an ALERT® ‘Train the Trainers’ Course course, before commencing training in their home locality. ‘Train the Trainers’ Course courses, which last one day and teach the essentials of running an ALERT® Course, are run in the following centres around the UK on a regular basis:

- Kent (Princess Royal University Hospital)
Centres wishing to run the ALERT® course should identify a multiprofessional group of at least seven trainers, ideally including those with experience as ALS, ATLS, APLS, etc trainers. The cost for attending an ALERT® ‘Training the Trainers’ course is £1000 per team of seven, for which each attendee will receive training, a course manual, a certificate of attendance, coffee/tea and lunch.
